Canoes Update
For those of you anxiously awaiting news of the first days of semifinals, I can tell you that the official scores have not been updated yet. This may have something to do with the tales I have heard about Disney computer systems being down company-wide today (seriously, no hotel reservations, no fast food checkout, etc etc) but I have no idea how much stock to put in those rumors.
What I can tell you is that Blockheads came in ~20 seconds slower that our qualifying time, roughly 4:45, which has us all pretty pissed off and highly motivated to find out what the heck we're doing wrong.
The first place Men's team, DC Revolution, added 2 seconds to their best qualifying score, coming in at 4:04 and change. Their slowest time so far was 4:05:64, our fastest time so far was 4:13:80.
We'll still advance with scores like these, but we've got our work cut out for us.
Tomorrow, GG Crew and the rest of the folks who rowed on Monday get another at bat, er... paddle. Blockheads is back on Thursday.
