Short version, I have 3 weeks to decide the rest of my life.
Long version: My optimal solution is to have myself, my girlfriend, and another friend move into a 2-bedroom apartment in Pittsburgh once my current lease expires. She would be working and going to school, I would have a finance-related job, and there would be a car (hers) to spread amongst the three of us.
Here's the problem. I haven't found a new job, my current job is currently being an ass, and searching for a furnished 2-bedroom is harder than it looks. If this all falls through, I have to move back home, which is something I DO NOT want to do. Not that I'm on bad terms with my parents. It's just that all my personal ties to my hometown were tenuous at best and have now gone except for the g/f who, to my surprise and great pleasure, would follow me to the ends of the Earth. If I move home, I'm probably going to be miserable, but earn money faster. But what price is depression?
I have plenty more invested in Pittsburgh (despite Ravenstahl's best efforts), and want to stay here. If I get an apartment for 1050 or less, I'll have a reasonable argument to stay despite the lack of good job. If I get the job, too, that's just a benefit.
So, I ask this favor of you. If you know anyone or any place that is in need of someone interested in finance, data entry, or bookkeeping, who is a diligent, honest worker, who shows up and does his job, and is reasonably accessible from the Oakland, please recommend me or pass their info on to me. Additionally, if you know of anyone who has a 2-3 bedroom apt for 1050 or less that's available at the start of August (or sooner), do the same.
Your help will be greatly appreciated, thank you.
