Hey look, it's Tsubasa!
I get the FUNimation Channel at my permaresidence, so I happened upon an episode of Tsubasa Chronicle (right after Monty Python wrapped up on BBCA). I watched some of it subbed, and since I saw the episode before, I can give a decent comparison.
Jason Liebricht, Vic Mignonga, and Carrie Savage are great as Syaoran, Fai, and Mokona respectively. Monica Rial is hit-and-miss as Sakura, but she's a little more hit than miss. Chris Sabat seems miscast as Kurogane (Kurogane's too thin for that deep a pitch, imo) but w/e. The ensemble is the regular batch of Texans--if you watched Fullmetal Alchemist on TV, you've probably heard them all. The general dialog and sometimes be clunky, but that's the fault of both the translation and fact that the pacing flows like molasses in January.
All in all, it's passable. If you don't like dubs, a) get over yourself and 2) it probably won't change your stance.
Now to wait for my Familiar of Zero boxset to arrive :3
