Enlightenment of the Day:
Life is short, cold, and lonely.
We are born alone. We die alone.
We fear loneliness.
We should not fear loneliness, it should fear us. Great things can be accomplished in solitude. The Buddha sought enlightenment ALONE. He found it. Zoroaster went up into the mountains ALONE. And found truth.
Loneliness should fear us and what we can accomplish while lonely. We should not fear it.
What we should fear, is ourselves. We should fear that we will hold ourselves back from the potential that we posess. This holding back may not be concious, but a compilation of external forces that act upon the internal mind.
These forces can include:
Bad family life
Relationship troubles
Extreme Stress
Death of relatives or close friends
When these forces press upon us, our internal self curls up into the fetal position. Our internal self believes that it is not a good person. That the person as a whole is defective, substandard, or not worthy.
We are ALL worthy of reaching our potential. We can accomplish great things only if we stop looking down upon ourselves.
We are ALL worthy of greatness. We can all acheive greatness. The ONLY thing that holds us back, is our own fears and doubts.
We are condescending towards ourselves. We degrade our own self esteem in the name of doubt. We drag ourself down lower than ANY external forces can.
But we are still worthy. We always will be worthy.
Greatness is sitting over that hill wiating for you to grasp it and make it part of you. It is waiting for you.
Will you come?
