Project: Beard Week 4
Sorry everybody, I know you were probably hoping for an exciting post about my current exploits but I got in late tonight so this one is probably going to be a wee bit short. I apologize in advance.
First off, let's get to what everyone came here for!
Now that's a beard I tells ya! Well, much better than last week but still not exactly what I'm looking for but very soon I should make my goal if growth keeps up at its current rate. Speaking of my goal, we just received the tickets we ordered for their upcoming show in Austin on the 11th of December! So merry (or happy if ye be English or a pirate) early Christmas to me!
Got a chance to hang out with the new drummer and her girlfriend outside practice at the Candlelight downtownish. We had a great time and found out that she is quite the wily Scrabble player as she nailed a like 100 point score with the word 'Calzone'. She also hails from the great state of Massachusetts which she reminded me is the home of the Salem Witch Trials and other similar assorted haunts. This may have just put Mass on the map for places that I'd like to visit.
On to the reason I was late. My good friend and former work colleague Justine and her husband Ricky just recently had a baby, Aedan. Well, Justine texted me the other night inviting us over to see Aedan for the first time! Well, of course I said yes and as we always do, didn't end up getting out of there until about an hour ago. It was great to see them again and Aedan is super cute! Kudos to them for having a super rad kid but after hearing Justine go on about child birth, I have to say, I am soooooooooooo not sold.
