things can only get better from here

So the funeral was this weekend. It was depressing. The funeral home did a horrible job with Stephens body, it looked nothing like him at all. They dressed him in an Auburn hat and KA t-shirt, it was like he dressed himself. I dont think i have ever felt so hurt in my life as that night. The service was held a St. Paul's Church, I didnt realize how small it was. I did however get to see a friend of mine who i hadnt seen in 2 years. She was very good friends with stephen. The family made our whole fraternity honorary pall bearers. We precessed in before the casket and sat in the very front. I screwed up the comunion, they take the bread and dip it in the wine. Is it ok if i took comunion, the priest said that it was ok for all baptized christians to eat and drink, but i wasnt sure. After the funeral we walked out behind the priest and lined the sidewalk leading up to hearse. We then rode out to podunk, the semetary was Lott semitary, not named after the family but the road. The ride was an hour and a half. Once there they sat the family right infront of the casket and had my brothers and I off to the side in a group. They wanted everyone to know who we were and that Stephen was part of us. After the Burial ceremony his family played War Eagle, Hey. I dont think that stephen could have planned it better himself. I was pulling for Auburn all year this year, I wish he could have seen them in the national championship. I'm comming to grip with his death. I have started to look at it as the final chapter in the book of stephen lott, and another one in mine. All everyone is has two things in common, the beginning and the end; its the middle that sets you apart from the rest.

ps If you are in mobile and knew stephen or are intrested, Kappa Alpha is having a memorial to him wednesday at 4 in the afternoon, all are welcome.
