The Bulbs Know

There were a couple of places around the outside of our house where the previous owners planted tulip bulbs. It never ceases to amaze me that, with no attention or care, they continue to pop up every spring. It's always nice to see them make their appearance.

Twenty-six (26) years ago I lived in North Dakota in the BOQ. Years before that there were a couple of nurses that lived in the building. They planed tulips and for something like 15 years they came up every spring!

I really love the idea of flowers around the yard, but I just don't have the patience and discipline to be a real gardener. I usually end up getting several hanging baskets and/or pre-potted displays and try my best to keep them watered. :)

Of course, they sort of pale when compared with the Umbrian hillside pictures that you have shared. :)
