I just learned of the recent excitement of Dima's high-speed chase leading to his arrest. In case y'all didn't hear, Thursday an acquaintance of mine from South Milwaukee got into it with the Cudahy Police...
It all started in Cudahy when the suspect blew through a stop sign in his 1990 Cavalier.
Cudahy police tried to pull him over but the suspect just kept driving faster.
A high speed chase was on. The chase reached a speed of 100 miles per hour on Lake Drive in Cudahy.
The suspect ended up on Lincoln Memorial Drive in Milwaukee when police decided to call off the chase.
That's when Chopper 4 with Power Zoom came in. TODAY'S TMJ4's chopper kept following the suspect as he came dangerously close to hitting some cars as he drove through heavy traffic on Lincoln Memorial Drive.
The suspect twisted through some streets in a residential area near UWM. He took cover under some trees and got out of his car but couldn't escape the watchful eye of Chopper 4 with Power Zoom.
Chopper 4 with Power Zoom followed the suspect running down the sidewalk and then getting on a Milwaukee County bus!
When the suspect got off the bus he started running again, constantly looking over his shoulder, knowing that
Chopper 4 with Power Zoom was following his every move!
Eventually, the suspect threw his hands up in the air and walked right into the Shorewood Police Department to turn himself in.
Sheriff's deputies arrested the man and a deputy gave Chopper 4 with Power Zoom a thumbs up!

Update: The suspect was later identified as Dmitri Gurney, 20, from South Milwaukee.
He said he ran from police because he doesn't have a driver's license.
So why did he turn himself in? Gurney said, "Well the simple fact is I stopped and I was going to walk. But there was a helicopter - so I was like, 'Screw that. Where am I going to go?'"
