So much has happened in the past few days.
Last Tuesday, we bore the loss of a great and divine inspiration to our generation. Linnie Bell Pitchford received her heavenly reward and is now able to serve us better through prayer. She will be missed dearly, and has touched the lives of many many people. The funeral service alone, yesterday yielded a turnout of around 2,000 people. Parking was tight and the heat inside was overbearing at times, but it was an elaborate joint performance put on by three separate church groups, whom Linnie helped and was a part of. In the beginning when the eulogies were read, I was in tears. Several outstanding gospel performances by several lady friends and performers had me shaking my tail and clapping by the end of the night. Linnie would have loved it. It was really a beautiful funeral and I could really feel her presence. I am going to miss her so much. She was a mother, a friend, and a mentor.
After the funeral, I grabbed some Subway on Good Hope Rd. Met up with Dan, Sean and Adam. We drove back to Adam's moms house and hanged out there for a while, jumped on the trampoline and lit the tiki torches. Fun! After Dan and Sean left, Adam and I took a walk to this park nearby. We climbed to the top of this huge hill and marveled over the spectacular heat lightning, and embraced the breeze. I took my shirt off for a while, the air felt good. Adam and I had a good, long chat over love and loss. He really is my best friend. I love ya Adam!! :):) Fate brought us together.
Today I just worked, straightened up and cleaned the back room for a good part of my shift. It's nice to have a few days off from work. I'm going to hang out with Justin (a different one than Hoyt) on Thursday, and it should be kewl. We're going shopping. After work I stopped by Aunt Annette's house and had dinner with them, and picked up my laundry. I then made my way to Blockbuster where I got a steal on three movies for $25 (SAW, Troy and Man On Fire.) Well, I'm pretty well exhausted. Tomorrow I'm getting my oil changed and I'll be seeing my friend Jo Rodgers, from school for a bit. Maybe I can get those new shoes I've had my eye on. Laters!
P.S. --->> You should all check out my new photos on my photobucket. They kick ass.
