Concert Night in Austin
We went to Austin on Monday to see The Lashes, OK Go, and She Wants Revenge. N likes The Lashes and I like She Wants Revenge. We both don't like OK Go. I was all jazzed to see She Wants Revenge because they sound like an East German New Wave band from the 80s. That was until I saw their video for Tear You Apart. They look nothing like I thought they would. It ruined the image for me. However, they put on a really good show and the music was great. My only complaint was the singer tried to be too cool with his stage banter. He had this whole rap about how the band had a symbiotic relationship with the audience. It was like laying in bed with a lover and you turn and say, "Hey. How's it going?" or some stupid shit like that.
N had a too close encounter with the lead singer of The Lashes. He talked with us and thouht it was cool that we discovered them on Sirius radio and pre-ordered their cd, etc., etc. He was walking around the whole night and kept saying hi to us everytime he saw us. At the end of the night, he was drunk and hugged N. Later N said she could smell his B.O. on her.
