visiting ASL

'Twas mostly unnotable. I went on Tuesday and again today. It was really good to see people and be in a signing environment again (YES!), but nothing worthy of recounting, except for one anecdote:

I decided to sit in on a 1-2 class, and the one between the 5-8 class and lunch has two of my good friends from ASL as TAs, so that made sense. So I'm in there, getting a few "who is that guy" glances and such, chatting with the TAs some (yeah being able to chat across the room while class is going on!), watching the goings on, stuff like that. Until at one point while they're taking a test I hear one of the TAs and DeJulia (the teacher, for those unenlightened of you) bantering something about "soup" pronounced "s-you-p". I practically died laughing! See, this is a running joke from nearly 2 years ago now, and I was one of probably 5 people involved in the inciting incident. So I'm sitting in the back of the room trying not to burst out laughing out loud or choke, and DeJulia notices me and goes "Oh, this is Alan, he's visiting. He's in college now. He's a genius." And there I am, probably some shade of red, hands over my mouth, trying not to laugh. It was ridiculous.
