Morning numbers puzzling

Aug 21, 2015 08:46

I've been watching Tough Enough, a WWE show where they find the "next great wrestler".
Like many reality shows now a days, the watchers have a vote at the end of the episode kicking someone off. This show has decided the people vote who they want to save (rather than kick off).
This week they are down to the last 3 guys, so unlike any other week, they knew in advance who the bottom 3 were (usually the judges on the show pick them).

Before the voting to SAVE a candidate they did an online poll who you'd want sent home.
The votes were split 41% Tanner and ZZ with Josh having 18%.
So Josh I think is the clear favorite, but it was interesting to see who people wanted to go home since we only really see the numbers of people who are saved.

The end vote was Tanner went home only 22% wanting to save him and ZZ and Josh getting higher numbers. I don't remember exactly what they were (could probably look, this is the internet) but it's really irrelavent, I think for the number puzzle that popped into my head. Let's say ZZ got 33% and Josh got 45%.

The weirdness that popped into my head was what (if anything) can we assume as far as relavence between voting off and saving?

Here's what I came up with but I wonder if there's more to it=)
If we assume Josh's "send home" 18% voted split between ZZ and Tanner to save them, then I think more of Josh's following hates Tanner than they do ZZ (since they were tied in who to send home).
Does that make sense?

Or is it morning sleepy.

Is there anything else that could be derived from those numbers above?
Like, neither Tanner's save crew or ZZ's save crew totally hate Josh (22>18, 33>18).

It was interesting to puzzle anyway.
But now I work.

Hasta,
Joe
