been a while, things got crazy for a little bit. i sat "things" down though and had a talk with them, don't worry, shouldn't happen again.

lets see, the furthest back i can remember was last weekend. i'm pretty sure all memories were burned out of my mind by the sun during the two days i helped leigh's dad fix up his backyard. it was quite a job, and there weren't too many people helping out. it got done though and looks damn good. i like doing things that i usually wouldn't do because it gives me the oppertunity to learn more and better myself (and sometimes make some extra cash ;-). the only downside was that i underestimated the sun's power on my bare skin. as a result i contracted some mad sunburn. leigh helped me out with some aloe vera gel and sun screen though so i'm recovering nicely.

i looked at my school schedule on monday and had a minor freak out because i had two tests to study for. i don't know why i always freak out the week of tests, i usually do fine on them. anyway, studied and got those out of the way. i don't know how i did on my economics one yet, but i got an 84 on my biology one which isn't bad considering i rarely go to the lecture. that's without any possible curve she might give out and not counting and bonus points i have in that class.

the judo guys are pushing me to test soon. on wednesday they said i've got a month to learn all the material. really that's more than enough time now that i've got the kodokan (i.e. judo for dummies). i pretty much know all of the throws, just not what their called because all of the names are in japanese. i've been feeling pretty crappy from all of the pollen in the air, but i'm still going to judo. it's probably the only thing where i feel less crappy. i guess because i'm breathing harder or something.

taking guitar lessons from ron and it's pretty cool. i took lessons for a while in highschool but i never really dedicated enough time to pratice. in the process of cleaning out my room i decided that i needed to redeem myself so i'm picking it back up. i'm really starting from the beginning though because it's been so long (and i was never that good to start with). i'm cool with that though, ron's a kick ass guitarist and i'm alot more driven now anyway.

finally, the summer is starting to take shape. i'm going to be taking one or two classes at vcu to make up for lost time. i would like to take more but the mass comm department isn't really wanting me to do that until i get the "required" credits out of the way and actually get into the department. they have this new rule where you're supposed to have a max of 60 credits when you apply to you're given department. due to my time in theater i have a few too many credits, lets just say, but they're working with me to get me in. at first they told me i should look for another major, but i got all up in their grills and told them that they needed to find a way to get me into their major. well...it didn't go exactly like that, but you get the point. i also applied for a tutoring job teaching elementary school kids how to read and do simple math over the summer. it pays hella good and apparently has some decent hours to fill. if everything works out it should be pretty sweet.
