Sweet Talkity Talking.....Lady.....Woman...too

Today was a pretty fun day I would have to say. Hey! I like to play by the bay in May and then feed a horse some hay and then let the sky turn gray. I look to the sky in dismay and shout, "Curse you Mr. O'shea!" Then I had to pray as I lay in the ray of the sun. Nay, I won't pay. No way!

I should stop now.

Okay (hehe), let's see. What was I saying for real? Oh! Yeah, today was fun!

During worship practice this morning, we sounded so together and really good. However, Tony didn't really go over the trasitions between songs. That wasn't a very good idea. And then he tried throwing in some twist in one of the songs at the last minute. Another not so good idea. We started out rockin' and then we just fell apart about midway through and never recovered. I don't know if he mixed up the songs or just felt like switching two of the songs, but I think you can guess that that threw everyone for a loop. But I knew he was talking about us when he said that it's not about the music or "us."

After church we went to La Fiesta, which I wasn't thrilled about, and I still feel like it's not the best place to go. I'm a very big "authentic" mexican food eater. I like "authentic" american food.

And Mal brought a friend who I know from school. I couldn't ignore her because she knew me and I was on stage, so she had to have saw me. After I said hi, I tried staying as far away as possible because of just past memories. I mean, don't get me wrong, she's a very nice person. She's just, well, not my type per se (I hope you're catching my drift).

And then Mr. Burtner calls my cell phone to ask Mal, Steven, and I to help him help one of his co-workers out. I couldn't resist. I had nothing else to do, so why not. We stopped by Dave's house and helped them with something real quick and then we took his truck and I drove the big van! I almost busted a window with a fridge, but luckily the window knew I was driving and figured it'd give me one mistake.

Mrs. Davis is the best! She's the nicest person ever. She's always smiling. And it's not like a fake smile. You can really see her joy. She beams with happiness of what she has. I have so much to learn from her. She's always asking to help and is so thankful when she gets help. Usually you can tell if someone is just being happy because they have to; she is happy because she has a hope and knows she does.

When us guys got to Lowe's (with me driving the van still), we saw Mr. and Mrs. Cork. It was funny because we saw them in the parking lot as we were parking and we honked at them. I guess they couldn't figure out why a bunch of teenagers in a van were honking at her and her husband because they were a safe distance away from the van. And it's not like they were in the middle of the street. She looked at us in this really funny face and quickly looked away. So then we proceeded to pull up to closer them and yell like idiots out the window to the Mr. and Mrs. C. Well, our yelling got us a lot of weird looks from other people in the parking lot, but not the people we were yelling for. We finally let it go and figured we'd see them in the store. And we did. But we kinda had to rush, so Mal just mentioned to Mr. Cork about calling him sometime to talk pharmacy lingo and such.

So, we got all the moving stuff done. We were then surprised by Devon (the guy we helped move stuff. well, him and his wife and daughter.....and I think his mother too) to take us out to dinner. To Houligan's! I've only been there once and that was in Orlando. We went to the one in Ormond. Talk about the best wings I've ever had in the whole entire world. That is so now my wings place if I'm ever in the mood for some totally awesome wings.

And then I find out that Mr. Burtner has a really good taste in music. Yes, it's classic rock taste, but not all of it. Just the good bands. The bands that made classic rock ROCK! After returning the fridge to the Burtner's house, we then hit the road again to just jam. It was cool to see Mr. Burtner head bang and do "air guitar" as he tries to drive at the same time. We listened to Boston and ELO (both of which I am really thinking about getting tomorrow or very soon), which I found has a song covered by Five Iron Frenzy: "Sweet Talkin' Woman." Hence why Reese shouts, "ELO, I have all your albums.........YES!" after the song. I love that song.

Mrs. Burtner is really cool too. She not necessarily care-free, but she is pretty lenient when it comes to pranks and music and letting her children do what they want to do. However, she's not lazy and passive. You know what I mean? yeah.

So, in conclusion today was fun and interesting and very....."guy"ish? i guess? Although it didn't start out that way.

Only a few more things could have made the day perfect. I'll let you try and figure those out, but keep your guesses to yourself because you're probably WRONG! MUAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAHH! or not?

maybe.

ST*R! yes!
