The Seventh Hole is legendary!!!!!

I could not believe this when I saw it in the paper today, but the Register Guard Outdoor section compiled a list of the top holes at Public Golf Courses within an hour drive of Eugene. The purpose was to construct a perfect 18 holes based on the courses around us. I quickly looked for ones that I had played and as it turned out, I had played 10 of the 18, but nothing shocked me more than when I saw their selection for the seventh hole. Gloriously, they picked the seventh hole at Laurelwood as the best in the area, which was the original site of the "Seventh Hole Girl Chat." Amazing, simply amazing. I LOVED IT!!!! Aw, the memories. Somehow the panel of judges must have known the significance. Perhaps the seventh hole is really a tradition for all golfers and the one at Laurelwood is our Mecca!!!! If so, than our pilgrammage there is no longer just for pleasure, but for religious practice. Maybe you should think of that, MARC, the next time you say you have nothing to tell us!!!!!
