I love the changes you've made. I think only Foreman could have the distance to see what's going on.

Thanks a lot. I really like the cool, calm, collected thing Foreman's got going on.

Great imagining of an alternative version of events, and the thought of House cast adrift and clinging to whatever -- or whoever -- will put up with him is intriguing. Foreman is great in this too, seeing what's happening, but yet becoming engantled with House despite himself.

Thank you. I've not written Foreman before, and when I thought of him "replacing" Wilson in a way, but still remaining very Foreman, I knew what I wanted to write about.

:D Thanks for all your help.

I realised that House wouldn't be all "poor, poor me" -- it needed some sarcasm.

Wow! There is sooo much going on in this fic; but you connected all the different events together so well--Wilson's death, the bus crash, House's father's funeral, even House's not!dad. The Superman/Spiderman conversation pretty much broke my heart, as did Foreman's belief that he was being measured against Wilson and found wanting. Awesome job!

The bit with House's not!dad, as you say, is one of my favourite parts.

Thank you.

This is wonderful. Such a realistic progression of Foreman getting drawn in.

I had anticipated something a little different because of the "Pairing: House/Foreman" label, which generally implies slash, but got over that dissonance by the end. The second reading was even better.

Thank you.

I was going to call it "House/Foreman friendship", but I thought that sounded like a cop-out, so I just went with the House/Foreman. Shrug.
