Wanted to get some feedback on my Abigial dress that I am doing. It is from 1952 when the Doctor takes Abigial to Hollywood. I used a Butterick reto pattern. You only see the top of the dress from the show. Doing research this is the dress that people will have worn in 1952. I went for mutted color of blue as people in 1952 would not have had sparkly type of material like we have today.
I still have to add the lining to the dress. In 1952 petticoats were worn to give the full look to the skirt. I was planing on including my petticoat into the lining of the dress. This is only going to worn as a costume so I can see no need to do a seperate petticoat to keep around my small place.
As you can see the skirt needs some kind of "Puff" to it. That is why I figured the petticoat will come in handy. And by attaching it to the lining I will not have to deal with two different pieces to get to Gallifrey next year.
Let me know of anything I should change now before I put the lining into it.
