Maddox has totally been cracking me up lately, he does so many cute things. He has started to ask for a drink before bed and says
"I'm really thirsty I get a drink, peease mommy, just a wittle bit" while holding his fingers apart as wide as they go.
He has also be pretend singing to evelyn in the car I can see him in my review mirror bobbin his head and moving his mouth with a big ole smile on his face. It is so funny.
He started his second year of preschool yesterday. As expected he loved it and I was so nervous he would be stressed because he is going to a different school this year. I found one right by our house that has after school care so in the event I get stuck in a meeting or something, he is taken care of. This one also has a summer program so they can go next summer too. God has really come through, again and again.
My job has been going through a lot of changes. When I started with this company four years ago, I was full time employee number four. We now have over 50 employees and going through a few growing pains. We lost our Christmas presents last year that included a paid trip and extra time off, now we are losing more and more of those benefits that made our work so fun. It may be necessary but that doesn't make it easy. I loved having freedom to come and go and to make decisions for myself. They also promoted a guy that I thought was going to be so great at bridging some of the gaps in our department and he has been a huge disappointment. That the problem with creating expectations, when they aren't reached you're left disappointed. That along with the changes to our structure and less benefits with more rules has lowered morale. I really think the company needs to give something pretty cool to balance everything they are taking but for some reason they don't seem to agree on that notion either. My job is still pretty fun but I need to get the links worked out. We'll see how it goes.
Some cute things evie is sayin and doin
Ssssss = yes
Eeesssss = please
Signs: more, eat, and all done. It now she also says them while signing
After every book I read she tries to say "the end" just how I say it. It comes out in a mumble. It she does the same inflection I do, hilarious
She is making animal noises and it is so funny when she does any roar it is almost like a mix between a roar and a cat hiss but it is the sound she used to use for e erg animal. She calls my name all the time and when i answer she'll just make a noise or pretend to talk by moving her tongue and making sounds. Mostly in the car.
This kids still wake up at the crack of dawn or earlier but I was told by my college roommate I needed to learn to love it. He is right. He was in town a couple of weeks ago so we met up for lunch. CN you believe we are both accountants now? Crazy stuff, I was so shocked to see him all clean and buttoned up, definitely different than the long hair hippy from college lol.
Evie also say no no no a lot. It is my favorite of her milestones, I would really love if my kids know they are allowed to tell me or dad no but, I want her to know what it means too. Man this parenting stuff is way challenging. Ok headed to bed
