should have been in bed hours ago

but i just did my nails. can't be bothered with the shift key, could you tell?

had the ct scan this morning. i called the lab at 9 and they had an opening at 11, so i went. turns out i didnt have to do an overnight fast for the scan. silly me.
but i did need to fast at least 12 hours for the blood work, so that has to wait till saturday morning.
i sooo do not want to get up early on saturday - especially to have my arm poked. jody dun like the needle.
they're scheduling mammograms into feb, so thats when mine is. good thing the pains and lumpies arent in my boobs, right?
this nail polish went on very thick, so it's taking a long time to dry. i'll probably wake up with some nifty hair and blanket designs on my nails. stylin'.
so about the scan- wernt no thang. i got nakie then put on a gown. the kind with the opening in the back so folks can see your hiner. i was hoping to pass another patient in the hall so i could exclaim 'where ever did you get that gown?! it's positively to die for! it's a Versace, right?'
but no such luck. so i followed the nice lady to the x-ray room and got to lay down for a while on a very comfy bed with a foam triangle under my knees and a lovely soft pillow for my head. i could read a book or watch a few good movies like that for hours. would need a snack table close by, tho.
so, the nice lady technician says 'lay still and relax, the machine will tell you what to do.' hmmmm k. so i layed there, knees up, arms over my head and laying on the pillow. the technician went into the little radiation-free zone and did her thing. my comfy bed began to hum and move me toward, then into the big ring ahead and above me. this has potential for creepiness, but since it's not that horrible full tube they do -or did- MRIs in, im ok. (oh look, i did caps. nails must be dry) Once my head got to the opening of the ring, i heard a gentle male voice tell me "Breath". and so i do. Then he said "hold your breath", and again, i complied. we played this game twice, no big deal. the third time he made me hold my breath a much longer time. Like, 15 seconds. i thought i would pass out. but that would be ok because maybe they'd let me nap on the comfy bed.
I left out the preparation of the scan on purpose. I'll fill ya'll in on that tomorrow.
Shalom
