pop!

After entering the office this morning with my friend Matt (recently back from two weeks of vacation), I was careful to walk behind him. I also gestured somewhat frantically at various coworkers along the way while Matt wasn't looking.

I even sort of rushed to catch up to Matt as he rounded the corner to his cube. He very normally just sort of started walking right in. Then he backed up, and I'm sorry to not remember exactly what he said, but I think it was something like, "Well, shit."

This was probably due to the waist-high level of balloons filling his cube (and laying all over his desk, above waist height).

We spent most of last Friday, and some time even earlier, blowing up the balloons, putting silly things inside (plastic army men, candy bars, stuffed animals). Some of these were actually latex gloves, which are more accomodating to stuffing things inside them (besides your hands).

It was fun. Most of the balloons are popped now.

For reference: You want about 400 balloons to fill a cube to waist height. Assuming most cubes are the samish size.

Yay, balloons!
