Downtown lights shine brighter because I am now there. . .

I am finally moving downtown. New school, new part of the city. I will be attending where my heart was truly engraved. I thought it was University of Pennsylvania, but I came to realize more and more that I loved Rutgers for so long. Rutgers took me in their arms before any of the other schools accepted me. Not Penn. Rutgers was there whenever I needed somewhere to go. I remember spending plenty of days throughout my high school years doing homework in the library and going to Starbucks on campus. I wrote my essay for Rutgers taking into account all of the ways Rutgers was my second home. UPenn was somewhat foreign to me at the time. Of course, it was excellent, but it did not bleed the energy and warmth I felt at Rutgers. I have met several of the 2011 Raptors and Knights. I have met so many people that share many of the same interests as me. After graduating Valedictorian from my senior class, I have more faith in myself. I have faith that if I can motivate myself to get good grades, then I can definitely accomplish great things. I understand college is harder in high school, but I feel as though I can do well if I am committed. I will try my best. Good luck to the Rest.

You know you love me more,

Jocelyn
