I used to be an avid reader. I love books and start to read them at a very early age. I remember the only thing I like about bedtime was the bedtime stories my mum would narrate. Even when I was clueless about words, she would run her fingers line by line as she reads off the page of the fairytale...soon, I was able to recognize and correlate the words to her voice.
I remember having a huge collection of Enid Blyton... from Secret Seven, to Famous Five, Malory Towers' series, Mr. Pink Whistle, Ameliia Jane (the naughty doll). I get a rush during book exhibition that is very much alike the rush I get these days from hearing the four letter word "SALE".
Even as I enter university and the workforce, books have been a large part of my life. They get me through the long commute to work, appease the impatience in me as I waited for friends who have no idea how to use a watch/clock,
But ever since coming to TW, I have been reading so much lesser.... to tell the truth, I barely read. I'm gonna start reading more.. and read a larger variety... that's what I'm going to try to do now.
Bought 3 very different books when I was in Kinokuniya that day.
The first one's more for work and self-improvement.
