My internet has been cranking up lately IDUNLIKEIT but ok fine. Patience. Calm. Brr....
Anyhoo, today was grading, and I got 4th kyu! Was a tad disappointed cos almost all my kendo friends expected me to get 3rd kyu and well, most of my closer kendo friends and practice buddies DID get 3rd kyu, and lols, it makes me feeeel bad by saying this but I would think I am one of the few who went for EVERY single training (no, I haven't missed a single one), so I guess I feel a little... sad that it didn't pay off.
But after whining and being down in the dumps for a while, I'm starting to think that well, screw the grade (as the sempais have all said), and I'm just going to get better and stronger and look forward to the time when I go out there in a tourney and kick someone's ass, and people go "wtf, you're 4th kyu???" LOLS!!!! I'm getting ahead of myself. But screw that too. XD
Though interesting was what Akane-sempai told us about how during grading we are measured against guys' standards and all, thus height, strength and stuff like that coming into play as well. :/ Well, it's only a little comfort honestlyl, Phoebe's only that much taller and she got a 3rd, but it's a very interesting...revelation? Lols. Hmm, cos tkd doesn't take into account the strength factor as much I guess, though maybe it's only STF grading so! XD
So I'm over being depressed about my grade (for now), and I know I gotta wait a while before getting into bogu but! *feral grin* I'm going to look forward to it. A lot. :D
Oh, and did I say my motodachi was Yotaro? Hahaha, the first time he gets to see me whack something proper is when I'm whacking him. :) :) :) Heeeeee~ Actually I wish I didn't get him, just cos I think I would've preferred it to have been Susie or Sophie, the two girls, but ah weeeeeell. :)
And my kiai seems to be staying. I'm glad. XD Quote from Alex: "Good kiai this morning. You scared the crap out of me." Whee~~ :D
...And I should really get to work instead of procrastinating. :P
Kendo dinner tonight! :)
kendo,
