Yorba Linda Fires
We were evacuated from Saturday to Monday. Thankfully we had Hubby's father's house to go to. He lives by one of the evacuation centers and it was hard to watch people being turned away from there because it was full. We tried to go home on Sunday, but the police had the streets blocked off and were turning people away. Fire trucks and police cars were still screaming up our street. Monday morning, we finally made it back home. There is a park across the street from us. Behind the park, a few streets up, are these hills... and they are all charcoal from the fires. The air is still filled with that smokey residue. The skies look blue, but you can smell the smoke. The girls and I got headaches from being outside for a 1/2 hour.
