I think I am destined never to see The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe on the big screen. when I have planned to see it in London supervening event have foiled my plans. Yesterday I had no commitments, so I drove to my local railway station with a view to seeing narnia in Brighton, only to discover that there were no trains running to that town (I'm sorry but I can't get used to it being a city), only a bus service, once an hour. As the bus wasn't due to go for forty minutes (why can't they depart at the same time the train would have departed?), I would have missed the start of the film. Driving was not an option as parking is practically impossible.
I am going on holiday on Saturday, so I shall probably be too tied up at work to get away early enough to see the film and if I do have a free evening I shal probably go to see Sleeping Beauty at the Coliseum, as it's a production I have not seen before. By the time I return, TLtWatW is unlikely still to be running. Oh well, there'll be a DVD in due course.
