5/12/2024 Mother's Day.
Our daughter and SIL made Brunch for myself and my SIL's Mom Barb. Biscuits and Gravy, Bacon, Scrambled Eggs, some fruit and veggies!! I had a Mimosa, so yummy!! I got a beautiful necklace from my oldest son, youngest son got me a nice candle! Daughter got me some pretty flowers, a card and my gift hasn't arrived yet.
Missing my Mom, it's going on three years since she passed. Was remembering when I was younger and my brother's and I made her breakfast in bed. Dad of course had the coffee brewing, my brother Ray picked dandelions for her, that we put in a glass with water for the tray. We made her cards and cereal with milk and her coffee!! Mom loved it!!
Later years when I was older my step brother Mark made her a denver omelet one year! One year we went for bunch at JD Hoyts in Minneapolis, my step brother Patrick is part owner I believe. Good times!! Great memories!!
My own kids have carried on the breakfast/brunch tradition to this day. We usually plant some flowers as well! It's is another top 10 weather day here!!
My Mom in 2020. I think of her everyday!!
