Who: Jenda
Where: Le Petite Ermitage, Hollywood
I had so much nervous energy balled up inside of me that I almost couldn't take it. Today was Brenda's birthday, well, it was the little party I was throwing for just the two of us. I wanted to take her out and show her just how much I loved her. She had been such a good wife to me after my accident, that I thought I needed to do more than just celebrate her birthday, but celebrate her and how amazing she was to me. Brenda really stepped it up when I asked her to show me that she really did care. All of our problems were melting away because of her. She really made a strong effort to fix things, stronger than I had anticipated, and I was blown away.
She has also been so sweet and so supportive during this time when I needed her more than I ever needed her before. I couldn't have asked for a more amazing woman and she truly did remind me of why I fell in love with her in the first place. I also knew for sure that she really needed me, so I decided not to hold onto anything negative in my heart and just forgive her so that we could start anew. With that said, I didn't want all of the pressure to be on her for us to get along and have our love be strong anymore. She got us to this good place and I wanted to work to keep us there. Even though I was nervous, I was also excited. I knew in my mind that Brenda would love everything I planned because she would just be happy that I planned anything for her, but I was still nervous for her to like it. On the other hand, I was excited to show her all of her gifts to see that big happy smile on her face and to see the moment when she really did feel like the most special girl on the planet, because to me she was.
I had gotten my hair cut and my goatee lined up the day before because I wanted to look nice for her, and because where we were going was upscale. I booked us a room at the boutique hotel, Le Petite Ermitage, in Hollywood. The hotel had a
rooftop restaurant that I wanted to take her to since it had an amazing
view of all of Los Angeles from the ocean all the way to downtown. It was hard to keep everything a surprise from her. It was even harder to pack an overnight bag for her so she wouldn't even know that we were spending a night in a hotel together for even more alone time, but I managed to do that when she went to the grocery store. All that was left now was for her to finally finish getting ready and come down stairs. "Babe! Come on!" I called from the bottom of the stairs.
I was already dressed in my black on black suit, opting out of a tie so that I could leave a few buttons on my shirt undone. She finally came downstairs and my eyes widened and I lost my breath at how gorgeous she looked. I was actually stunned, paralyzed where I stood, all from her beauty. She was wearing the blue dress I'd bought her just because I knew she'd look great in it and I wanted to spoil her. She looked way better than Gwen Stefani did in it, and now that I saw her wearing it along with all her finishing touches like hair and makeup, I couldn't believe my eyes. "Wow," I whispered before smiling and holding out my hands to her. She took them and I spun her around slowly so that I could fully appreciate her sexiness before I looked back at her with a grin. "You look great, babe," I praised before stealing a kiss. It was hard to stop at one, but we finally pulled away and I pulled her gently to the door for my first surprise of the evening. I opened it and grinned again as I gestured to the outside and announced, "your carriage awaits, mi'lady," referring to the limo parked out front.
