Who: Cemi
Where: Airport! And then home
Four days was way too long for me to be away from Demi. I'd spent all day at an amusement park to make the time go by faster and to keep my mind off of how much I missed her. However, once I got back home to pack and saw how sad the kids were without her, I was immediately reminded of my longing. I finished packing in record time, not bothering to take too much thought into what I packed. I basically just shoved all my tank tops and v-necks in to the the suitcase, followed by a bunch of boxers, topped off by my large collection of swim trunks (most of which Demi had bought for me) and some of my favorite cargo shorts. It would've only taken me 10 minutes to pack but the kids kept scratching at my legs and crying for my attention. All but Venny. I finished packing and decided to hop into the shower. I wanted to look and smell good for when Demi saw me again. It was late so I had to take my contacts out but I shaved and put on a tiny bit of cologne. After I got dressed in one of my v-necks an d some jeans, I took the kids into their play room where I sat on the ground to pay them some attention. Venny slowly trudged over and curled up next to me, his head resting on my knee. "You miss momma, don't you? I haven't seen this sad face since we lived in the old house." Venny heaved a huge sigh. "Mommy's coming home tonight, Venny!" Venny's ears perked up and he looked towards the door. "Not yet, buddy, a little bit longer."
I continued playing with the kids right up until I knew I needed to rush to the airport. It was really late so I knew that the traffic wouldn't be too out of control. "Alright guys, Daddy's going to go pick up mommy. We'll be back in an hour or so, okay?" I started to put the gate up and I saw as they all got nervous again, scratching and clawing at the fence. Well Bella and Venny were clawing at the fence, Zuko was asleep in his hammock and Lou was asleep. I frowned at how sad they looked before heading out to the car. By the time, I made to the airport, I had a terrible feeling the flight had already landed. I jumped out of the car and sprinted into the terminal. I was stopped by a security guard so I explained that I promised my fiance I'd be at the terminal when she got off the flight. He raised an eyebrow at me and told me to slow down because the flight had just landed and they were letting the passengers off in a few minutes. I smiled and thanked him before taking large strides to the point where I could meet Demi. I saw people begin to pour out of the terminal and my eyes darted around to find Demi. My heart was pounding with anticipation. I couldn't wait to see her.
