Luckiest Mommy
Background: Doodle (age 10) is a very affectionate boy, does not have problems expressing his love with words or gestures, but usually does not initiate the words. So, the other day, I was delightedly taken by surprise by his saying, out of the blue,
"I love you."
(I made some response, probably "I love you too," and then he said...)
"You're so nice to be with."
I don't know what prompted it...we were just hanging in the kitchen...but I'll take it.
