I've been watching t.v. (she says proudly).
Couple of thoughts… but I'm going to actually break this into several posts instead of one huge one (she says, almost fit to burst).
Game of Thrones: Everyone does realize that this is basically a soap opera, right?
Roughly six thousand characters die periodically and staggeredly; each episode can only cover an incremental amount of progress in each of its eight subplots; no one can quite remember the beginning nor predict the end of the story; sex, adultery, rape, incest, betrayal, murder, and marriage abound. NTTAWWT.
But it's amusing that Game of Thrones' target audience would appear to be those very same educated young people who do not want to be their working-class mothers, grandmothers, and babysitters.
By the way, I've only finished up to Season 2. I don't mind spoilers. If these two are both going to die, just let me know now and I won't bother continuing.
