Jan 01, 2005 01:33

1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before? started playing guitar

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I didn't keep any of them except one... I eat a lot healthier now.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Nope.

4. Did anyone close to you die? Not yet

5. What countries did you visit? just the US

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004? a creative outlet.

7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? December 31st, because I got pulled over by a cop for doing absolutely nothing wrong! (he was doin fitty five in a fifty fo). I didn't get a ticket because i was fully coherent and abiding all of the traffic laws.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Starting a band finally.

9. What was your biggest failure? hmm... I suppose not pursuing film at FSU, or my relationship with Cathy, but neither of which I really want anymore.. so I wouldn't consider them failures, except at the time.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? yesterday morning i almost cut my finger off with some crazy knife while i was reaching in a drawer to get a wooden spoon. that was pretty cool, but now there's like a 1/2CM hole in my finger, which is no good. I don't get sick as far as I remember. I thought i was going to die when my balls started hurting out of the blue (ironic) one day up at FSU, and had to get painkillers prescribed for it, which i still take.

11. What was the best thing you bought? Ebony Epiphone Les Paul Standard Guitar.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration? can't think of anyone.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Cathy

14. Where did most of your money go? "ahhh i spent it on beer" -homer. hmm.... I bought a TiVo, lots of smoothies and late night dinners at the Diner, and footlongs at the Sweet Shop, and I bought some DVDs that include Minority Report, Donnie Darko, and City of God.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Going to the hockey playoff game between Phili and TB with Cathy, in Game 2 where they got raped like 7-2, but it was so much fun.... we had a blast every minute of it.

16. What song will always remind you of 2004? Jimmy Eat World - Hear You Me

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. Happier? hmmmm.... yes.
ii. thinner or fatter? fatter?
iii. richer or poorer? poorer.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of? going out with friends.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of? thinking about Cathy all the time.

20. How will you be spending Christmas? i was home with family and stuff.

22. Did you fall in love in 2004? twice i think

23. How many one-night stands? almost one!

24. What was your favorite TV program? Around the Horn

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? I don't hate anyone i don't think.

26. What was the best book you read? don't think i read an entire book... but the 100+pages of Dan Brown's Angels & Demons was awesome. Also really enjoyed reading parts of my History of Modern Popular Music Textbook.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery? mytunes redux :-D, "thanks Dorman!" also I suppose guitar would count as one. In terms of bands, Muse comes to mind first.

28. What did you want and get? wanted to move away, did that. wanted to start playing guitar, got that. wanted to start a band, did that.

29. What did you want and not get? wanted to go out with cathy, didn't get that, want to get my own place, didn't get that.

30. What was your favorite film of this year? definitely wasn't Alexander... what a piece of garbage. I remember seeing a good movie with Leigh, but I can't remember what it was. Actually we saw 2.... the Forgotten (hahahaha how ironic) and another one with Al Pacino called the Godsend. I liked the Forgotten better because of the marquee special effect it had (if you saw it you would know).

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? let's see, I turned 18 and it was the day after I met my summer roommate Jorge, and his mom took me and him and his girlfriend out to Hooters, and I had some grilled salmon sandwich that fell apart.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? being able to see Cathy one last time before I left for college.... I wanted to see her so much, and my not seeing her caused pretty much all of the problems between us now.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004? I still don't ever match. for some reason. In fact, right now i'm wearing black and yellow Ecko sandles, yellow parachute pants by Polo, a navy blue Quicksilver hooded sweatshirt, with messy unkept dirty blonde hair, and a black hat with red text that says "Pray For Thunder" on it.

34. What kept you sane? Music... listening to it, and playing it.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? don't think i did.. maybe. Angelina Jolie is pretty hot.

36. What political issue stirred you the most? hmmm... i'm sure there is one but I can't think of it at the moment. The lack of media coverage on the Tsunami disaster is pretty saddening.

38. Who was the best new person you met? Leigh. She and I spent nearly every day together after we first met in the fall, and she was my best friend up at FSU. Likely that I won't see her again since i'm at USF now and she lives in Sarasota, but she was a great friend, and I'll miss her. Also Crazy Joe. Very nice guy, listens to the most outlandish music though that even I don't have a tolerance for.
