So i took Kirk into town today to see his dad and get his birthday present from him, Kirk was quite excited about this as for one reason or another he hasn't actually seen him since he left.
We get there and instead of Dave saying "Happy birthday mate!" and giving him the money, he immediatly started having a go at Kirk for not making an effort to see him before now and then gave him less that he said he would!
This got Kirk so upset that he started crying which i was NOT happy about and told Dave so but didn't want to start a huge argument so let it drop after a few minutes. Dave then proceeded to spend the rest of the time he was with us going on about supposed money owed to him by us to the point where i wanted to say "Call it quits for the years you owe me!" but again didn't, i ended up just walking away.
Is it wrong of me to be contemplating not telling him where we are going when we move - i know the kids would be missing out on a dad but hey with a dad like that they aren't missing out on much are they.....
