I hate getting stuck in the middle
So, my niece decide to take the baby and leave her boyfriend for the second time in about two months.
She called me around 1:00 today, saying that she had packed up her things after he went to work and left. She told me that she was with a friend who lived a few streets away from her house. I didn't think that was such a good idea, since he might find her there.
She tried getting into a shelter, but there was a delay because of it being a holiday weekend. (I find that very strange.)
I took her to the police station. She can't get a domestic violence order on him until Monday.
I now have her and the baby stashed away with someone he doesn't know. (one of my gay male friends) He'll NEVER find her there. lol
It's now 5:00 and he's left 3 messages on my voice mail. He doesn't even know that I'm involved, I'm just the only family member who will talk to him. Anyway, I'm saving the voice mails, since they get more threatening each time.
I have a feeling that it's going to be a very long weekend being stuck in the middle.
