Seemingly bad, yet good.
So the process of big things are always arduous, but we always manage to come out stronger than before after the whole ordeal.
The entire recital journey was tough and fucked up, but the sunshine's out after the thunderstorm and the post recital party was a jolly good event. It's always team bonding after everything ends, yes? Camps, performances, classmates, everything.
I've gotten to know my item mates better than before and I must admit there's a lil sense of sadness that is quite familiar. Because everything has ended and after all the usual post recital stuff, everyone walks their own way, continuing with their own journey, and we'll probably never be together again. It's quite sad that just like that, we meet once in our lifetime, to train together for the chance to shine and share the stage. And once the few precious minutes tick by, it's gone.
People usually say that they'll keep in contact and everything, but the truth is, these friendships don't last for long. At least, the majority of them don't last for long. So everytime I get these chances, I tell myself to cherish the moments that do last, but I don't. Until it ends.
(I'm not emo by the way.)
Anyways, there's post recital party this saturday as well and I really want to swim. Why did the people not bring their swimwear that day at Shiwei's house anyway. Leaving only me and Ytk with swimwear. Oh WELL.
I'll be glad for this one chance I got - to take to a big stage once again, for the chance to shine, for the love of performing. Maybe one day soon I'll get to dance up there again, with different people. And maybe then I'll learn how to love the arduous process.
So to the 4 guys, 14 girls and 1 instructor who toiled through the weeks with me, xiexienimen. (:
Everyone's gonna go their own ways, people will go back to their countries, people will go overseas, and maybe the next time we meet, we won't even say hi to each other. But the memories of this recital will always remain with me.
Let's all just keep dancing, keep grooving, keep growing as dancers. (:
