question of the entry (i was gonna say day but realized that i dont write in this thing everyday. but anywho..): how did the world ever survive without the internet

if you think about it, the internet was not with us until we were in about third or fourth grade, at least not fast internet. remember how the only games we used to play on the computer were the dos ones? like doom, tetris, the snake and apple game, the mouse and chees and cat game, only to name a few. and we were satisfied. seriously, i was once able to sit in front of the computer for hours just playing those simple games. now i cant seem to live without my aim, mp3s, flash player, gmail, mozilla, only to name a few. i mean, heck, i dont even have to wonder how i lived without the internet, how the hell did i live without mozilla?! explorer drives me crazy now - i must have my tabs. man oh man am i spoiled.

i also cannot stand slow internet.

i think i had a point with this entry, but i wrote it a couple hours ago so ive forgotten what it was. heres a possible punchline though: after living a week without internet (or relatively crappy internet), ive realized that our species have no ability to continue on in life without this thing we call the world wide web. my apartmentmates and i seriously sit in front of the computer for hours each day praying for our wireless to work. its sad, i know, but that is life. so its not like i can get more work done without it, its just that instead of wasting time actually doing something on the internet, im wasting it trying to figure out how i can get on it to do nothing.

thats a possible punchline.
