Remember how March is supposed to come in like a lion and out like a lamb? It's not even the middle of the month yet, and,... baaaaa.
The only thing I had to complain about today was that the weather was so beautiful that I didn't want to be stuck indoors.
Luckily(?!), I had a 2pm meeting in Cherry Hill, NJ. (Chan/Mike/Ajit, I *know* how jealous you guys are that I spend more time in your home town than you do...). Sure, a Friday afternoon client meeting in NJ suburbia doesn't sound like the most titillating of events, but at least we weren't stuck in the office.
Eric and I were on the road by 9:15, with the windows rolled all the way down and NPR blasting (yeah, we're *that* cool), as we crossed through midtown traffic.
At 9:18, I realized in a panic that I didn't have my cell phone on me. I had to call and face the wrath of Paul - okay, more like annoyance than wrath - to inform him that I most likely left my cell phone under his pillow this morning when the damn thing rang and I turned it off to catch another three minutes of sleep. Could he please pick it up tonight on the way down to meet me in Philadelphia? (Funny thing is, my batting of eyelashes didn't seem to translate very well over the phone, but I could hear his eye-rolling perfectly...)
Eric and I were crossing the Lincoln when we start talking about what a great name "Satirius Johnson" is. And by Exit 8A on the Turnpike, we decided on where he shops for his wardrobe, the section of the Sunday NY Times he reads first, and the kind of wedding ring he has purchased for the made-up girlfriend we've given him.
We got to Cherry Hill with two hours to spare, so we had plenty of time to get lunch and then frolick around this park doing stupid things like this:
and this:
Haha. This is why I love spending time with my co-workers... Isn't Eric so adorable?
