I've got me'self a real job! I'm working for
Idealist.org/Action without Borders, and it should be pretty awesome. I started this past week, on kind of a temporary/trial basis, and after seeing some of my work, they want me to stay.
I'm working on a new project that Idealist is getting ready to launch, basically to create a network of "community points" throughout the world. I'll explain more later, when we have it all ready for you (Yes, you!). Anyway, I'm specializing in the youth outreach component of the project. I get to run focus groups and stuff with kids.
A cool but bizarre part of all this is that Dave works there, and we're actually going to be working together quite a lot. I most likely wouldn't have gotten the job if it weren't for Dave, and now I get to work with him. Yesterday consisted of an all-day meeting with Dave and a few other people. Everyone else who works there seems really cool too. Last night we all went out after work because it was someone's last day, so I got to talk to more people.
In a few days my friend Jason is coming down and we'll be looking for, and hopefully deciding on, an apartment! Probably in Queens. It's been fun staying with Dave, but I'm ready to stop feeling like I'm stealing his entire life.
Anyway, life is good! I'm excited!
