thefaceshop clarifying hydrogel power treatment masks

the hydrogel range is one of my favs, especially the soothing and repair, which seems to be the only mask able to calm my face down when nothing else works. i love the fit of the mask, texture and concept. however, am quite wary of the clarifying and detox masks coz i was afraid of breaking out (purging effect). the clarifying came in useful the other time when i had a bad reaction to the mbd sake yeast mask and had plenty of bumps. the idea of using a clarifying mask on my skin when its bumpy goes against my theory so i was quite hesistant in using it (i'd rather use a soothing or hydrating mask to make the bumps go away) but it didnt make things worse and seemed to help a little in clearing the bumps. i guess alternating the clarifying with soothing and hydrating masks did help to calm the skin down.

i dont see any immediate effect after using the mask (skin does not look noticably clearer) but skin felt v cool coz of the nature of the mask i guess. the next day, skin does feel softer and clearer. farahdean's theory is that it brings all the bumps to the surface and calms it down overnight to clearer skin the next day.

anyway, i didnt get the chance to stock up on this during the 20% sale but i have 10% off this month (birthday month) so i picked up a couple of pcs today. will just keep this on standby and use it ocassionally to clear the skin!
