Food Diary: Day 1

Ok, so merley_edithur  has talked me into doing a food journal, and since I just use this blog so much anyway, it's as good a place as any. I'm pretty hesitant to docuemnt it all, because I think I eat a lot of crap. I'm open to (insanely) easy ways to "upgrade" the bad. For health reasons, I'm trying to get back on track on a low carb diet, so we'll see.

FYI, milk is always whole, organic at home, not at work. Bread is some sort of 12 grain. Rice is usually brown, and pasta is often Barilla Plus or Dreamfields.

Yesterday, Wednesday Mar 23
Breakfast #1 ('bout 7am): Milk and pills
Breakfast #2 ('bout 10am): frozen TJs steelcut oats, with a bit of milk, half-caf coffee (weaning myself off caffeine) w/ milk
Lunch: Fist size piece of homemade lasagna (nom! Mom made it) with one sausage and 2 meatballs.
Snack: Clementine
Dinner: Taco salad w/meat, tomatoes, salsa, cheddar, sour cream
Dessert: lg jelly-filled cookie and chocolate turkey

The good: the oats, the lasagna, dinner.
The bad: the clementine and desserts. I'm disappointed I can't handle the clementines, but I could feel wackiness in my blood sugar about half way through.

So far, today, Thursday
Breakfast: fried egg, bacon, cheese, potatoes on a roll from the deli on the corner. Ate a bit over half.
Snack: A few sections of a clementine
Lunch: "Chicken Bellagio" from Cheesecake Factory, Jon's leftovers from the other night.
Snack: Another section of clementine
Snack (?): decaf coffee
Dinner: No idea....will update later.

I'll give these posts a tag, and I probably won't regularly post to FB about them unless it's been awhile since one.
