IS AWESOME. I love my classes. I love my schedule. I love my roommates. I love my apartment. I love the 24-hr. gym. I love school. For now. My education in the community class is FAAAAANTASTIC and our corresponding lab is 30 hours of field work in after school programs tutoring, mentoring, etc; for grades k-12. Exciting? You bet. The professor is so great, too. My sociology of poverty class isn't bad, the professor is pretty nice and I like that we're dispelling a lot of common misconceptions about the poor, cuz it bothers me when people make ignorant remarks. In abnormal psych. I have the same prof. that i had for intro. to psych. my fall semester last year and she's also the psych./ed. advisor which is good. The class is really interesting so far and I don't mind all the reading we have to do. I scheduled a meeting with her yesterday to go over my schedule and make sure I was on track with obtaining the credits I need for graduation and my co-op schedule annnnd experiential education (which will be student-teaching my senior year for 3-6 months.) We designed a schedule for me all the way through senior year so I feel soooo relieved about that. I think i'll do co-op my middler year and maybe study abroad my junior year, I don't know. Ooh, the possibilities. I had my first stat.'s in psych. class today and I was really nervous cuz it's a pretty big class for math (like 40 ppl or so) but my professor really breaks things down and applies them to things we already know. He incorporates a lot of psych. as well into his lessons, which is cool. I'm also trying to be more involved this year. I'm looking into Hillel (yea i know, what am i thinking), Hall Council, and a Student activities group. I may be busy, but at least i'll be doing things I like. I'm meeting as many people as i can in my classes cuz I mean well for one it's good to know who's in your class for notes and stuff like that, but also we obviously share the same interests so why not try to cultivate a friendship out of it while I'm at it? So there.
