23 Griffin Way, Tuesday Afternoon

Aug 14, 2007 10:02

Joanna was finally moving into the new mansion.  She was there, yelling at the movers, as truck after truck after truck pulled up to unload all her expensive things.

[ooc: Post and house are open!  Feel free to come welcome Joanna to the neighborhood.]

my mansion is bigger than yours, joanna stayton

Joanna noticed the boy quickly. "Well, you don't look like a mover and you certainly don't smell like one of them."

She waited for him to explain his presence.

"Oh, yes, of course." She didn't shake his hand. Instead she took a step back and looked at him with a critical eye.

"Turn around," she commanded, making a circular motion with her index finger.

Joanna nodded in approval.

"Follow me," she said as she started walking into the house. "Tell me, Adam, do you have many friends?"

"Excellent." They passed into a very large entrance foyer. There seemed to be people everywhere, moving furniture, hanging art, touching up the new paint job.

"And are you familiar with miniature golf?"

Entering a very ornate salon off the side of the foyer, Joanna pointed to a chair. "Have a seat."

She turned towards Adam and gave him another appraising look. "And how about go-karts? The one's I've just purchased are top of the line -- very fast."

"Very good. So why should I hire you?"

Joanna perched herself on the edge of a chase lounge.

"Well that's good to hear, but I'll reserve judgment on how reliable and hard working you are till I've seen you in action."

She leaned back. "I will say that you have the look I'm going for. We wouldn't want to have any unattractive employees. It would drive away the customers.

"When can you work?"

[No problem! I've been in and out all day.]

"Tuesdays would be optimal. Wonders of the World is still under construction of course, but I hope to have the grand opening next Friday. Would you be available to assist with that event as well as taking on the Tuesday shift?"
