You never know when you're in the middle of making a memory.

A good bit of stuff has happened since the last time I’ve updated. I’ve been feeling pretty gosh darn good due to it all though. Life has just been treating me so nicely. Ah, I love everyone.

So tennis season has begun and it has been a nice contribution to my happiness. I’m third singles this year and I think I’ve been doing pretty well. Though, I miss Bears being my doubles partner, I enjoyed talking trash in broken Vietnamese about the other teams.

This is a Matrix-fied picture of our first boys’ singles player.

Best friends support. Boyfriend support. Ashley looks like she doesn’t know what the fudge is going on... And she probably really doesn’t.

Wednesday night, Sa and I paid a surprise visit to the PAC to watch our friends get festival’d. I always like attending those things for three reasons:

1. The music is pleasant to the ears.
2. Sight-reading is exciting (sometimes thrilling!).
3. All the fellas look so dashing in their concert tux’s.

See what I mean? Sharp!

Girlfriend support.

I didn’t get a picture of her, but Scott has the cutest little niece. From now on, randomly, everyone must refer to him as UNCLE SCOTT!

Saturday night, Max took Thao and I out to Chili’s to eat, after a 7-hour day at Taggart’s. Thao just ate mashed taters with ketchup… and she wonders why those waiters always offer her the coloring children’s menu with crayons. Silly girl.

After, we all went back to my house and invited the lovely and demure America on over. T and A studied for AP chemistry stuff while Max and I fell asleep on the loveseat in the living room. Even though we were in the head-to-toe position, my mom freaked out on me. I suppose she was afraid we might get aroused by the sight and smell of each other’s feet and proceed to fornicate…… SEX!

I just got up and slept on the next couch to avoid further overreaction.

Studying away. This was moments before my mum got into nice-mode and served up some taste watermelon slices.

Later, Thao and America woke me and Max up to have a late night viewing of The Crimes of Padre Amaro, starring that Gael Garcia Bernal hotcake. Whoo, can you say, MUY CALIENTE?

The next evening (Sunday), Thao and I hit up Bear’s Spivey residence to celebrate her 19th birthday. Goodness, all the Nguyen cousins are getting so old so fast! I wonder if we’ll all still hang together and do silly stuff even when we all get to be in our 30s and 40s. That’d be swell.

My, that was a slightly lofty entry. I meant to keep it nice and compact, but it seems that I screwed that idea up. But no matter, I just have so many lovely friends and I wanted to show them off to all.

I’ll get pictures from Bear’s birthday up later.
