Hi Jo!
I've joined LJ now, though I haven't really done anything with it yet. (I wanted to offer the Veronaville townies I extracted to Maranatah, but she hasn't replied yet.)
I'm a bit paranoid about this Super Debug Hug to the extent that the only lots I've ever downloaded are mootilda's. Can you say whether what you said in your first post about the 3 fixes is still largely true, or if subsequent discoveries have changed things. I've had Dolphin's Control This Sim for ages now (on your recommendation!) Since installing it, I've never played any of my main 'hoods without it, so I'm hoping that this will have protected me from getting the dreaded Hug. I have however played my test 'hood without it, as I always play it with fewer hacks. On reading this, and the linked thread on MTS, I think I should keep Control This Sim in place when playing my test 'hood too.
I wasn't keen on either of the other 2 fixes, because the full version of No Sim Loaded removes a lot of stuff that I'd rather keep (though I believe Boiling Oil might make

Hi Jo!
Do you think I'd be ok with plasticbox's Newbie Road tiny lots? Since he/she (I'm not sure which!) is active again on MTS -- and is now a mod!, I reckon his/her stuff ought to be ok. I think, when I first thought about downloading those lots, they were marked as unsupported because he/she hadn't logged on for so long. I'm hoping that his/her lots are almost as safe as mootilda's. I know you're playing plasticbox's Elsewhere, so you must be fairly confident in him/her.
Those tiny houses would be very useful in my island 'hood where space is at a premium, and I wouldn't have to build a new house, every time a new Sim moved to the island or a townie wanted to become playable.

Did you put in No Sim Loaded? If you have a clean game and you put on NSL, you never have to worry about the SH. If you put on a lot that contains the SH, No Sim Loaded will stop it ever surfacing. It can't manifest so long as NSL is there in your Download folder. Even if you put on dozens on infected lots and pull multiple mods. I highly doubt anything by Plasticbox would contain the SH, but it isn't something you have to worry over.

I only use the basic version of No Sim Loaded, because (odd though this may be) I like attraction markers -- I like to I look through my Sims' memories in SimPE and see who they were attracted to. (That should be "to whom they were attracted"!) I do have Black_Spirit's LBFRemovesocial from MTS though (the one he wrote to let people safely remove his Deadly [Vampire] Neck Bite mod), which should protect me though.
It is however sadly possible that I already have the dreaded Debug Hug masked by Dolphin's Control That Sim, as I had to remove a couple of social mods before I knew about the hug. I removed Adults Go Steady because it made my Sims lose wants and fears, and I took out Visitors make Espresso (if that's a social mod) because my Sims were doing nothing else. I don't know how I could find out except by packaging one of my lots and sending it to someone who knows how to test for the Hug.

Well it only really affects those of us who upload lots, since you don't you will be fine by hiding it. it's just very annoying Maxis code, it won't break anything. Also it's only some social mods that cause it because the maker wasn't aware of the fallback guide. That's up to you, but nuking attraction markers should not change anything in your game that you see and they can become corrupted like gossip.

I haven't uploaded any lots yet, but I would quite like to share my Veronaville Parish Church (you can see pictures of it on my Simblr). But of course, I wouldn't want to pass on the Hug to anyone, so I'd like to be sure that I haven't got it. I wonder if anyone at Leefish could help me with that.
I wonder too if you could copy what you just posted to the Stupid/Random Questions on MTS (post #20547) about how to clean a lot with AGS, to this thread as it's liable to get lost in the noise there. Thanks for all your help.

It's quite easy Andrew (also sorry I just saw this!) Simply package your lot and install to AGS. Load the lot, do one change and save. Then you can package your lot and share. Of course you must have No Sim Loaded already in your AGS game for this to work!
