In a response to a recent thread in the
lesbian-gamers forum I came up with a modified version of Katy Perry's lyrics to "I kissed a girl". The idea was to change the lines some of us found homophobic and thus offending.
I don't claim that my changes are all that brilliant, so if you have a better idea go ahead and post it in the comments!
DISCLAIMER:
The original is of couse by Katy Perry, I just changed some of the lyrics purely for fun! If you want the original lyrics go to
Katy Perry's webpage and/or buy her CD!
Changed lines are indicated with italics.
I Kissed a Girl
by Katy Perry
lyric adaption by Joan Waterhouse
This was never the way i planned,
not my intention.
i got so brave as I felt your hand
lost my hesitation
It's not what i'm used to,
but I dreamt it all along
i'm curious, for you
caught my attention.
I kissed a girl,
and I liked it.
The taste of her cherry chapstick.
I kissed a girl,
stars spin
my lips on her soft skin
It felt so good
It felt so right.
I think I'm in love tonight.
I kissed a girl,
And I liked it.
I liked it
I hear you sigh my name
my brain gets number
you got my heart aflame
woke me from slumber
I could get used to
oh, much more of the same
my thoughts are all askew
and you're to blame
I kissed a girl,
and I liked it.
The taste of her cherry chapstick.
I kissed a girl,
stars spin
my lips on her soft skin
It felt so good,
It felt so right.
I think I'm in love tonight.
I kissed a girl,
And I liked it.
I liked it
Us girls we are so magical,
Soft skin, red lips, so kissable,
Hard to resist, so touchable.
To good to deny it.
I know I will
do it a-gain
I kissed a girl,
and I liked it.
The taste of her cherry chapstick.
I kissed a girl
stars spin
my lips on her soft skin
It felt so good,
It felt so right.
I think I'm in love tonight.
I kissed a girl,
And I liked it.
I liked it
