Yesterday I hosted a two hour live podficcing slot for
The Big 24 charity broadcast. It was fun, exciting and more exhausting than I'd thought it would be.
If you've missed it and are at all interested in what I read there, I've recorded the whole thing and uploaded it to
my podficcing blog.
Note: these were all read live in one continuous 2h

Where are you hosting your podfics? I couldn't find any place that lets me upload and stream file of size or quantity I'd need for this project. *sigh*

Funny you should ask. I have started putting mine on paraka's website. I'm sure she'd be happy to post you. I'll link you up on Twitter.
Or I could put your podfics up under my spot, but I can't do that until later. Up to you.

Just one thing: I think it's good to have "the end" at the end, so the listener knows it's over. Or at least that's what I'm used to (although I admit that I have a podfic that ends without "the end").

Yeah, there were so many things difficult to say. >.< Especially when I'm a bit nervous or unfocussed my pronunciation gets completely ridiculous and even things I normally don't have a problem with (like s, sh, th sounds) won't do what they're supposed to. ;)
Re "the end": Yeah, I agree that some sort of signal makes it easier for the listener. Also, I botched the ending of this particular story. Inflection-wise. But in the context of the 2h thing there was a pause and then me going "so, that was...". It just isn't there anymore in the cut version.

I hear you. I feel like I just have problems with certain combinations and trying to get it right while reading make it worse, lol! Can't even imagine performing live like that, although I read to kids a lot.
Ah, that makes total sense. Actually, you might have listened to Watching, Waiting, Wet. It's the only podfic I've done with music and I don't say "the end" because I wanted the music to have the last word. <3
