All in all, being a boy for the day hadn't been terrible. Oh, sure, cheerleading was a little difficult with the changes in her body, but for the most part, Joan's second stint as a boy was decidedly untraumatic

Joan shrugged. "I dunno. Just, you aren't the slightest bit freaked out to find..." long pause as she considered what words to use here. 'Your girlfriend' might be pushing things a little since they hadn't had the talk yet. "... me like this."
"Well," he offered, "I already saw that my sister was a boy for today, so I assumed it might have happened to you. And you confirmed my suspicions. So, considering this place, there's nothing much to be 'freaked' about."
"I suppose it has been a while since I went out with another lad. I'm, well, I'm sure you've noticed I'm shy. But the first person I ever dated was a boy. His name was Andrew."

Though he realized it really had been a while since he'd even gone out with a boy. After Andrew, it just hadn't happened.
