Katherine Elizabeth (Katie) Eichenlaub was born Sunday, February 7th, at 9:50 a.m. by cesarian section. She was found to be breach that morning, and labor was progressing, so there was little choice in the matter. She weighed in at 6 pounds, 2.4 ounces, and was 19.5 inches long at birth. She has an impressive set of lungs.

Oooh, I didn't know about the c-section! Poor Shelley! Ouchies!!

Don't be scared. You'll be fine. Katie just wants to eat, sleep, poop and cry, and your job is to figure out which one of those things she wants or has done. Mostly she probably wants to eat.

Enjoy the snuggles and please give Shelley my best and wish her a speedy recovery.

Pictures soon???

They don't break as easily as you'd expect. For as floppy as they are, they are also resilient. You'll be ok.

Sorry to hear about Shelley's c-section. Mine healed fine. Having doctors digging in my guts was one of the weirdest physical sensations I've ever experienced.
