You may have heard about some large, groundbreaking political rally a couple of nights ago at the Xcel Energy Center. My wife and I were lucky enough to attend. I'd like to believe that sort of thing would not happen in either of our cities, but then reality rears its ugly head.

How do you that moving him won't make some sort of spinal injury worse and the accident victim sues you for everything you've got for trying to help? I'd be lying if that thought didn't enter my head. The driver should have stopped, of course.

I can see that. I'm just stunned (after re-reading the story) that the cops arrived on an unrelated call. That is rediculous and un-called for.

Unfortunately, in our society today the operative function is "Help someone if you think you won't get screwed over." And that's the real shame, here.
