Jo's Survival Tip of the Day: Emergency Glasses:
So you lost your glasses.... GG man, GG.
You will need:
A small, flat object such as a piece of paper, a leaf, tin foil etc.
Means to make a small hole such as the tip of your knife, a pin/needle, claw/fang etc.
Step One: Make a small hole, say about 1/8" in diameter across in your paper or other item.
Step Two: Hold the item up to one eye and close the other - it's best to use your dominant eye but doesn't really matter.
WTF MATE THINGS ARE IN FOCUS?!?
The hole you made, when used as a viewing aperture, acts as a makeshift lens. Bet you didn't know that did you? It's not as effective as a tailored prescription - but it works.
Alternative methods of doing this include;
An aperture type rifle rear sight.
Push both thumbs and both index fingers together and look through the diamond you make.
Pretty much anything with a small hole in it. (Not schoolgirls.)
