Chapter 3/7
Over the next few months, before Junsu had the time to even fathom why or how he had fallen into Lee Hyukjae's trap, he found himself being pinned down on Hyukjae's bed, subjected to his endless hungry ravishing.
Since officially agreeing to date, Junsu had found out exactly how stingy Hyukjae truly was. Getting the other man to buy him even a single gift was probably harder than taking his life. But then, what had all those huge bouquets and bouquets of pansies from before, everyday, been? Ahh, it was as they say: Things are only valuable when you don't possess it.
What pissed him off even more was, after leaving behind a sloppy goodnight kiss, Hyukjae would simply get out of bed and head to his study to begin his nightly regime of killing monsters. Junsu was curious, just how amazing this computer game was to make that person leave behind such an adorable being like himself in order to partake in bloodlust and warfare.
Pulling on a set of Hyukjae's pajamas, Junsu clambered out of bed and softly pushed open the door to Hyukjae's study. In front of him, Hyukjae's charismatic side profile and the look of concentration on his face sent Junsu's heart racing. But still, Junsu noticed that something was wrong. In fact, something was very, very wrong. Hyukjae's sound system was set on maximum, blasting music and sound effects of slashing, gunfire and warcries, but on the desktop screen that Hyukjae had was so engrossed in, was all but a romantic field of fresh pansies, blooming under the warm sunlight. And while the image was strangely breathtaking and intoxicating, the two words printed across the background stood out to Junsu's eyes even more -- Byeol-ah.
And the heartbreaking words that came out from that person's lips, "Goodnight, my dear."
Regardless how loudly the gaming sounds were, it could not possibly have covered how gently and sweetly those words had been spoken. Sometimes, Junsu really hated having good hearing.
Not willing to stand and watch any further, Junsu closer the door quietly, and somehow managed to feel his way in the shadows, half stumbling, back to his own cold room.
Has Hyukjae been lying to me all along?
Can he still not forget his feelings for the boy named Byeol-ah?
So in the end… I'm still a replacement after all?
Unable to cast this shadow out, Junsu only fell asleep as the sun rose, to a heavy heart.

"Why do you look so listless? Didn't you go to bed early last night?" Hyukjae sat on the edge of Junsu's bed, his hand resting on top of Junsu's thick covers. He leant forward, preparing to kiss Junsu on the cheek, but his lips only met with the cotton of the pillow as Junsu rolled over onto his side quickly. With his back facing Hyukjae, Junsu remained silent, keeping his frustrations inside. After a few minutes, a hand reached over to touch him again, resting on his forehead gently. "Let's see if you've got a fever."
"……"
"Don't tell me you caught a cold last night? We'll need to get a heating system for you room." Hyukjae mumbled to himself, still not getting a response from Junsu. Hyukjae folded his arms across his chest, and frowned. "I don't get it, I took so much care to look after my baby well!"
"You mean you took so much care to lie." Junsu finally turned around and broke Hyukjae's monologue. Surprisingly, Hyukjae did not continue, and simply sat frozen. Upon seeing such a reaction from Hyukjae, Junsu received the confirmation he needed about his speculations. He felt his heart begin to rip, and the resulting pain tearing through his entire body. Perhaps, he had really rather Hyukjae continue lying to him and deny everything, than to witness such a silent way of admitting the truth. But until the end, Hyukjae did not say anything else. After a brief exchange of gazes, Junsu got out of bed, got dressed and left the house.
'So he found out after all, huh?' Lee Hyukjae was left alone in the empty room, subject to the temperature in the room which felt like it had fallen bellow zero. He slowly crawled in under the covers that still contained remnants of Junsu's warmth, and his eyes fluttered shut.
